| medium: | on 12 May 1991 herman de vries made the 'aktion rosenspur' for Joseph Beuys' 70th birthday. He flew to Düsseldorf in a small airplane. He walked from the Akademie to Beuys' favourite pub, Ohme Jupp, he blew into a conch shell and sprinkled dried flowers of the rosa damascena in memory of the first encounter with Beuys in 1984. At that time, herman de vries participated in the exhibition 'Von hier aus. Zwei Monate neue deutsche Kunst in Düsseldorf' with the floor installation rosa damascena. |
